The Central Bank of Kuwait issued Kuwaiti Dinar banknotes in 7 different denominations, including this 1 Dinar Kuwait commemorative banknote (1993 Liberation 2nd Anniversary). They are part of the Kuwaiti Dinar withdrawn banknotes series. The Central Bank of Kuwait started issuing these 1 Kuwaiti Dinar banknotes in 1993. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1994.
This polymer banknote was issued to commemorate the second anniversary of the liberation of Kuwait from Sadam Hussain’s Iraqi army. The banknote has a list of all countries in the coalition fighting with Kuwait. The commemorative one Kuwaiti dinar note is not legal tender. It shows scenes of celebration, with men kissing, and three camels in the desert with burning oil fields in the background.
