BidCurios is an online marketplace specifically focused on offering the best collectibles directly based on prices set by sellers. BidCurios gets its name Curios meaning objects that is part of a collection.

Our goal is to create a marketplace for all, big and small sellers who can offer their collectibles for sale.

Buying Products

To buy any product, simply add them to your shopping cart and proceed to checkout directly. You will be required to provide your contact details. Please fill the address in carefully as it will be used to ship the products to you.

BidCurios team evaluates all sellers before onboarding them on the marketplace. We also regularly evaluate high value products put up on the marketplace to ensure their authenticity. Based on the feedback we will also de-list products and sellers from the site.

It is important to note that BidCurios is a marketplace that brings sellers and buyers together and works on the principle of feedback from buyers and sellers. Ultimately it is the sellers accountability to ensure their products are accurately described so collectors may take an informed decision.

Making Payments

Customers in India can pay using any of the following modes:

  • Credit Card
  • Debit Card
  • NetBanking
  • UPI
  • Most popular wallets like PayTM etc.

Remember to ensure that the currency selected is INR before proceeding to make the payment.

We are sorry but at this time we don’t offer Cash on Delivery. You must complete your purchase by making the payment online. You can pay through Credit/Debit cards, NetBanking, UPI or popular Wallet services. Payments on our site are completely secure through industry standard payment gateways.

You can be rest assured that you will get your order. We offer full refund if you don’t receive your order due to any issue at our end. You can also read our customer reviews to assure yourself about our deliveries.

Shipping and Cancellations

Items on BidCurios are shipped directly by individual sellers. Typically most light and small envelope sized orders are shipped via India Post. Private couriers are also used for shipping orders. All orders are always shipped with tracking number (registered, speed post, courier etc.). Seller selects the best shipping option for your product.

For high value items, insured shipping is highly recommended and it entails additional charge, which the seller will inform you of. If you do not accept these charges for high value items (worth more than Rs. 10,000), we will not be responsible for loss during shipping.

Yes, combined shipping is available. You will be charged one shipping cost at checkout per seller. If your order contains items from different sellers, you will be charged shipping for each seller.

Typically your orders will be shipped within 1 to 3 working days of receiving paid order.

Shipping time depends on the destination location. Usually the delivery takes 4 to 6 working days within India and 2-4 weeks internationally. However given the situation due to the pandemic, please expect some delays in delivery.

Once your order has been shipped, the order status will be updated and tracking number will be added to your order.

If you created an account with us while placing an order, you can view the order status in My Accounts – Orders section. On our Mobile App, you can view order status and tracking in Account – Orders section.

If you ordered as guest, you can track your order on our order tracking page.

Full refund will be provided in case the order is cancelled before shipping.

A refund may also be provided if the item does not reach the buyer. However high value items may not be eligible for refunds if these were shipped uninsured.

Please make a video of the package as you open it to ensure speedier refunds.

At this time we don’t offer unconditional refunds.

Orders may be cancelled before they are shipped. No cancellation after the order has been shipped.

Items won in Auctions cannot be cancelled. You are committing to make the payment within 48 hours of winning the auction. You must fulfill your commitment to buy auction items you bid on and won. Please bid only if you can make the payment.

Account Settings

Complete your account information by updating your address. Your address and phone number are used for shipping products to you.

  1. After you login to the site, select Account Details from My Account menu on the top right of the menu bar. On a mobile, Account is visible at the bottom bar.
  2.  In the Account menu on the left, select ADDRESSES option.
  3. Click Edit in the Billing address.
  4. Update your address in appropriate fields and click SAVE ADDRESS.
  5. Finally click Add in Shipping address section and add your shipping address in similar manner.

You can change your password in My Account – Account Details section.

Or you could select Forgot Password option on the login screen.

You can view your orders in My Account – My Orders.

International Buyers

Yes, we do ship most items internationally with some exceptions. Additionally individual sellers may have their preference of not shipping outside India.

Here are some guidelines to know if we ship the item you want internationally:

  • Typically coins and medals are not shipped internationally.
  • Some sellers may not ship currency notes internationally.
  • Indian items more than 100 years cannot be shipped outside without explicit permission.
  • Some items are offered as free shipping. This is valid for shipping within India only. Please enquire about international shipping for these items.
  • Please see Seller Shipping Policy for seller specific restrictions.
  • When in doubt, just drop us a mail from out contact page.

International orders are typically shipping through Registered mail of India Post. Occasionally private courier may also be used. All international shipments come with a tracking number.

Please note, items over 100 years old cannot be taken out of India without the permission of the Director General, Archaeological Survey of India, Janpath, New Delhi 110001. If any collector wants to Import any item over 100 Year old then the buyer has to obtain permission for the same on own. Items without due permission will not be shipped internationally.

Select USD as the base currency

Customers outside India must first change currency to USD and then select PayPal to make payments for their purchases. When you proceed to PayPal, you will be able to use your Visa or MasterCard, or pay via your PayPal balance.

Trying to pay in USD by Indian credit/debit card will cause transaction to fail.

Trying to pay in INR by PayPal will cause transaction to fail.

Remember to change currency to USD before proceeding to make the payment.

While shipping charges are listed here, please do enquire about international shipping (outside India) before placing the order.

Participating in Make An Offer

“Make An Offer” is a type of sale in which products are sold to the highest offer. Potential buyers place their offers competing with each other. As a buyer you control the price you want to pay for a product you want to purchase.

BidCurios provides you with an opportunity to make an offer for your favorite collectibles. You participate in a BidCurios Make An Offer, simply select a product and placing your offer for the product. To place a offer on an item, enter your offer amount and select the Offer icon next to it.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Offers are ALWAYS in Indian Rupees, irrespective of the currency you may have selected. International buyers will need to wait for getting an USD amount before making the payment.

Please also note that as per Indian regulations, items more than 100 years old cannot be shipped outside India.

You don’t need to place an offer each time someone else out-offers you. BidCurios allows automatic Offers. This is the easiest way to participate in Make An Offer on BidCurios. You can enter the highest amount you want to offer for the product and BidCurios will handle your incremental offers for you without you being online all the time.

To set up automatic offers, simply enter the maximum amount you would like to offer for the item and select Offer icon. The system will offer for you in defined increments on your behalf up to your limit. In case you are out-offered, you will be alerted so you can decide if you want to increase our highest offer.

Please do keep in mind that your offer is a contractual commitment to pay for the item if you win the offer. Also remember that you will pay for shipping charges too.

If you are out-offered immediately after placing a offer, it is because another user is using automatic offers and has a maximum limit higher than your placed offer. You will need to increase your maximum offer in order for your offer to be the highest offer.
