Bollywood pressbooks are also referred to as song booklets, story booklets or synopsis booklets. They usually contained the synopsis of the movie, lyrics of songs from the film and full credits. The language used in the booklet was Hindi, English and sometimes Urdu too. The booklets were designed to give theater audiences the chance to sing along while watching their favorite songs on screen and were typically distributed to the audience in film theatres.?Old Bollywood pressbooks were typically based on hand painted designs.
