MFA- College of Art, Delhi

Art and language share an unspoken connection. Pankaj explored this connection in the most novel way. He kick-started is journey by showcasing a unique experiment that combined his art with the work of fiery poet, Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s Madhushala. In 1992, B.B.C. broadcasted its review of Pankaj Nigam’s fusion art Madhushala. Since 1993, his art has made its way to at least 45 exhibitions at various art galleries in India and abroad.
Pankaj’s musings today are more about one’s inner quest, about the search of one’s own Budhdha, one’s journey from within; A state of inner bliss where you feel the eternal light within the ocean of conscience. Perhaps his close connections with poetry, theatre and social causes in the past have brought him to a point of reflection where he is seeking answer to all this within his soul.
As quoted in ‘The Telegraph’, “Pankaj Nigam’s creations are a fusion of art and poetry, freedom and conformity, empathy and expression. Mainly articulating human feelings and desires, his works are introspective pieces that take the viewer on to a journey of self-discovery and realization”
