Known for his bohemian nature, Ramkinkar ignored the norms and artistic standards accepted by the institution to create his art. He used paper and jute for expressing his impulses. Many a time, he would draw sketches on pieces of paper and leave it or give to his students or admirers. His sketches have structural characteristics just like his sculptures.
The sketch has been acquired from a private collection in Kolkata. The sketch will be accompanied by certificate of authentication by Dr. Anamika Biswas, an Art Historian and author of a book on Ramkinkar Baij.
